This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This website is operated by Busser Holding B.V., based in Haarlem, Noord-Holland, the Netherlands. For the purposes of the GDPR, we are the “data controller” for the personal data described below.

2. What data we collect
Waitlist sign-ups
When you join one of our waitlists, we collect:
- Your email address;
- Your interest (hosting a node, API access, or both).
Form submissions are processed on our behalf by Formspree, which forwards them to us by email. We are migrating this to a self-hosted, EU-based form platform; this page will be updated when that change goes live.
Website analytics
We use a privacy-friendly, self-hosted analytics tool (Umami) to understand how the site is used. This analytics is cookieless: it does not place cookies on your device, does not store your IP address, and does not identify you as an individual. It only produces aggregated statistics such as page views and referring sources. Because no personal data is stored and nothing is read from or written to your device, no consent banner is required for it.
3. Why we use it and our legal basis

4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third-party marketing or advertising services. We share it only with service providers that help us run this site, acting as our processors:
- Formspree (form processing) — based in the United States. Submissions made through our forms are transferred there; such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. See Formspree's own privacy policy for details.
- Umami (analytics) — self-hosted on our own infrastructure; aggregated, non-personal statistics that are not shared with third parties.
Our hosting provider processes data on our behalf as a processor under a data processing agreement, solely to keep the site and these tools running.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you ask us to remove it, or until it is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it for (for example, a reasonable period after launch). Aggregated analytics contain no personal data and may be kept indefinitely.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict or object to our processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hallo@datacenterforants.eu. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
7. Unsubscribing
You can ask to be removed from a waitlist at any time by emailing hallo@datacenterforants.eu. Any marketing email we send will also include an unsubscribe option.
8. Cookies
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and our analytics is cookieless. We do not place any cookies that require your consent. If this changes in the future (for example, if we embed third-party content), we will update this policy and add a consent mechanism where required.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent version.
